"Αλς - Ναυς"

In October 2008, Mary Papademas presented her evocative collection «Αλς-Ναυς» ("Als-Nafs" - Sea and Ship) in Nicosia. This exhibition showcased her exceptional color sensibility and signature incorporation of silver and gold elements, creating a visually striking portfolio where each piece captured a moment of profound recognition.

Throughout this collection, Papademas explored themes deeply connected to her Orthodox heritage, her profound love for her native Cyprus, and her sensitivity to the nation's ongoing struggles. Despite addressing these complex subjects, her work consistently offered viewers a space for contemplation—an opening or clarity that extended beyond the immediate visual experience.

The exhibition was honored with an inaugural ceremony by Mr. Costas Kadis, former Minister of Health. In alignment with her commitment to social responsibility, Papademas directed all proceeds from the exhibition to the Fund for support of children in need, demonstrating the powerful connection between artistic expression and humanitarian action.
